What is this site for?
DESTINATION STAGE helps middle-school students find an internship in the Var. The site is run by a teacher as part of a school project. It is strictly non-commercial and displays no advertising.
Who can use the site?
The site is aimed at three audiences: students looking for an internship, parents guiding them, and teaching staff supporting career orientation. No user account is required to browse the list of internship hosts.
What data is collected?
Only the public forms collect data: • Submitting an internship host: organisation name, address, city, sector, and the first name of the submitter. • Reviews on a host: a rating, a free-text comment and a first name. No sensitive data is requested. No password, no email address, no phone number.
What is this data used for?
Submissions are reviewed by the teacher in charge, then published to the list if they are relevant. Reviews help other students form an opinion about a host before applying. This data is never sold, shared, or used for advertising.
How long is it kept?
Retention schedule: • Rejected proposals: 30 days, then automatically deleted. • Published proposals (as places): for the duration of the school project. • Published reviews: 2 years from submission. • Unmoderated or rejected reviews: 30 days, then deleted. • Anti-spam IP addresses: max 24 hours. • Technical server logs: 7 days. After these periods, data is deleted. You can request earlier deletion at any time (see Your rights).
Your rights
Under GDPR (Articles 15 to 22), you can request access to your data, correct it, delete it, restrict its processing, or object to its use. If the student is under 15, this request must be made by a parent or a responsible adult. To exercise your rights, write to [email protected] or contact the pupil's school. We respond within one month. If you disagree with our answer, you can also file a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL): https://www.cnil.fr/en/plaints
